COLLABS & CLIENT WORK
CAFNEC | 2024
This voluntary project was created as a part of Cafnec’s CLIMATE ACTION NOW campaign in Far north Queensland. A Fence mural showcasing bright elements from nature to bring environmental awareness in highly transited road in Cairns, QLD.
The Organization’s objective was to create an interactive event where anyone could participate on the mural’s creation. With this in mind, and prioritising an aesthetically pleasing result, Lugo proposed a giant “paint-by-numbers” event, featuring her own design but inviting all volunteers and passersby to put their little grain of sand.
The result was even better than expected!

All-inclusive resort located in tropical Japanese island of Ishigaki, Okinawa, famous for its amazing diving spots and oceanic manta rays, was looking to create some “Instagrammable spots” around the hotel where guests would want to take pictures and share on their socials.
With this in mind, Lugo came up with a design for a mural which integrated many of the beautiful icons of Ishigaki island, as well as a tropical repeat pattern which Lugo then used to design a beach towel and hats. The manta mural design was also used in T-shirts.
